High water continues to cause problems across the state. The Missouri Department of Conservation has closed their office in Clinton due to flooding at Truman Lake. The high water there is over the main entrance road used by the public to reach the office. Truman’s currently more than 30 feet above normal pool. MDC staff have put up sandbag barriers to protect the office. In addition, it was announced on Tuesday that the Osage River has been closed to recreational boating between Bagnell Dam and the Missouri River. That closure is also a result of high water, strong current, and excessive debris.
