The Missouri Department of Transportation says flood waters from the Gasconade River have caused a closure of three major roadways in Miller County. Route 42 east of Iberia to Route T-T is closed due to water over the roadway in two places. Route 17 at Tavern Creek north of Iberia is closed due to water over the roadway. Motorists should take extra care in their travels during this time and never attempt to get around roadway barriers or drive across flooded roadways. MoDOT also recommends allowing extra travel time if detours are necessary. Drivers are encouraged to check MoDOT’s Traveler Information Map, located at www.modot.org, follow the Central District’s Facebook(www.facebook.com/MoDOTCentralMissouriDistrict) or Twitter (@MoDOT_Central) pages or call the department’s toll free number at 1-888-ASK-MODOT, to get updated on road conditions.
