Highway 54 To Shutdown Monday Afternoon In Lake Ozark For Rock Blasting

MoDOT says Highway 54 traffic will be shut down Monday in while rock are blasted in Lake Ozark.

They’re making way for a new eastbound Highway 54 bridge and to blow up the rock safely traffic will be stopped for up to 10 minutes Monday afternoon at 2.

It’s part of the future interchange and roundabouts along Route 54, Business 54 and Route W in Miller County.

But the work could be delayed if the weather doesn’t hold up.

That’s not the only roadwork taking place this week.

Route BB in Camden County will also be closed on Wednesday from 8 am to 3 pm while culvert pipes are replaced.

MoDOT says both directions will be shut down just south of Nicki Lane.

Message boards will be up warning drivers of the workzone and you’ll need an alternate route while the works being done.

The work could be delayed if the weather’s wet.

 

Brief Route 54 Closure Planned as Part of Interchange Bridge Construction

LAKE OZARK – U.S. Route 54 traffic will be impacted in Lake Ozark as a contractor working for the Missouri Department of Transportation begins blasting rock to make way for the construction of a new eastbound Route 54 bridge.

In order for crews to safely perform the blasting, all Route 54 traffic near the interchange will be stopped around 2 p.m. for up to ten minutes on Monday, October 26.

This work is part of the future interchange and roundabouts along Route 54, Business 54 and Miller County Route W. Speed limits are reduced through the work zone for the safety of travelers and workers on the road. Motorists in the area are asked to plan for delays, slow down, avoid distractions and watch for crews in work zones.

Route BB to Close for Culvert Pipe Replacement

CAMDEN COUNTY – Crews with the Missouri Department of Transportation will replace culvert pipes on Camden County Route BB next week.

For the safety of travelers and workers on the road, Route BB will be closed in both directions just south of Nicki Lane from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, October 28.

Message boards will be in place to warn motorists in advance of the closure. Drivers will need to seek an alternate route around the work area. MoDOT appreciates the patience of travelers while this work takes place.
