Failure to follow a simple traffic law led to two Camdenton residents being taken to jail. The Highway Patrol stopped 36-year old Jessica Wallace for not using headlights when her wipers were in use. During the stop, they arrested Wallace for possession of a controlled substance, paraphernalia, and a seatbelt violation. Also arrested was 36-year old Charles McDowell, who was in the car with Wallace. He had a felony warrants for a parole violation, possession of amphetamines, and failure to register as a sex offender. He’s also facing a new charge of possession of marijuana. Both were taken to the Morgan County jail.
A St. Louis man was placed on a 24-hour hold in a lake area jail following an arrest by the Highway Patrol Sunday afternoon. 43-year old Michael Pavia faces pending charges including failure to maintain the right half of the road, tampering with evidence, possession of methamphetamine and THC wax, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was taken to the Miller County jail following his arrest just before 4:30 Sunday.
