A Gravois Mills man finds himself in the Morgan County Jail after being taken into custody over the weekend on a probation violation warrant out of Camden County. 51-year-old Joseph Aaron Pemberton received a suspended sentence back in August, 2017, on charges of felony possession of a controlled substance, misdemeanor possession of marijuana and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia. A probation violation was filed and a warrant issued in December with the court identifying Pemberton as a flight risk setting his bond at $250-thousand. Pemberton was taken into custody on Sunday in Morgan County.
A Brumley woman faces drug charges after an arrest by the Highway Patrol. It happened in Miller County just after 2pm Sunday. 21-year old Charleigh Millican was placed on a 24-hour hold after being picked up on charges alleging possession of methamphetamine, marijuana, and paraphernalia. Millican was also charged with delivery or possession of a controlled substance at a jail.
