If your travel plans take you Interstate 44 near Lebanon, be aware of some ramp closures starting this weekend.
Officials with MODOT say as part of the ongoing resurfacing projects in Laclede County, they will be closing the ramps at Route MM and Route 5 on Friday and Saturday from 9PM to 6AM.
They say only one of the two ramps will be closed at a time to allow for traffic to enter and exit.
It’s recommended you consider an alternate route to I-44, such as highway 7 through Richland or Highway 65 through Buffalo.
I-44 Ramps in Lebanon to Temporarily Close for Surface Improvements
LEBANON – The Missouri Department of Transportation is advising motorists to be aware of two Interstate 44 ramp closures this weekend.
As part of the ongoing I-44 resurfacing project in Laclede County, a contractor working for MoDOT will be paving both on- and off-ramps at the westbound I-44 interchanges with Route MM and Route 5 in Lebanon. Work is schedule to take place Friday and Saturday, July 17-18, from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. each night.
Ramps will be closed while work takes place but only one location will be closed at a time. Message boards will be in place alerting motorists of the ramp closures and drivers will need to use alternate routes.
This work is weather permitting and could be delayed.
