There may be some changes coming to the types of highway signs that generate traffic in the area. MODOT area engineer Bob Lynch says the Missouri highways and transportation commission is considering a proposal to combine traffic generator signs into one entity.
Presently there are blue and green traffic generator signs on the highway. Under the new proposal all signs would be blue and merged together. Some concerns are being raised including the potential to negatively impact attendance at area attractions. The public has the opportunity to comment on the proposed changes until January 15th.
