Starting tomorrow, you’ll see changes on Highway 54. If the weather cooperates, crews will redirect both eastbound and westbound Highway 54 traffic to the eastbound Grand Glaize Bridge. The westbound bridge will close to traffic so crews can build the tie-in connector roads from the bridge to the new expressway. One lane in each direction will be open to traffic in the work area. The transition to the eastbound bridge is scheduled to begin around 9 a.m. and will not be complete until late afternoon. Motorists should be advised to expect delays during the transition period.
The new traffic configuration will remain in place through late November 2011.
