Aviation enthusiasts get a chance to experience a bit of history at the Floyd W. Jones Lebanon airport later this month. The Experimental Aircraft Association (or EAA) is bringing a Ford Tri-Motor plane known as the “Tin Goose” on tour across the country and offering flights to the public. The plane coming to Lebanon was number 146 out of 199 built between 1926 and 1933. It flew passenger flights in Cuba and was used by the government in the Dominican Republic. It was used for barnstorming starting in 1949 and crop dusting over Kansas. Flights will be offered to the public May 24th-27th. For more details visit http://flytheford.org.
