The owners of the home on Cub Cove Point north of Camdenton that slide off its foundation recently have issued a press release. Karl and Barb Odenwald of St. Louis purchased the home as a central meeting point for family over 5 years ago. In the press release the family states they are extremely grateful no one was injured as a result of the home’s movement and that the movement has been confined to their property and has not caused damage to their neighbors. The Odenwald’s have also been in constant contact with Mid County Fire Chief Scott Frandsen and authorities on site. The family asks for their privacy as this situation continues to unfold. Officials from several departments and agencies arrived at the home on December 21st, following a landslide that caused the house to become dislodged from its foundation. The Odenwald’s remain hopeful that movement of their home will stabilize in order to allow removal of the structure while it remains on shore.
