A bill regarding TIFs is working its way through the House. House Bill 1090 would require municipalities to hold a 30 day comment period before a TIF or CID could be passed. They would also be required to post information about the plan and hold public hearings. Osage Beach City Administrator Jeana Woods says things like this could be quite tough on the public and it could also cause unwanted delays.
House Bill 1090 passed the Committee for Administrative Oversight on Tuesday.
