The Highway Patrol has released their Thanksgiving holiday statistics. The counting period for the holiday began at 6 o’clock Wednesday evening and ended at 11:59 Sunday night. During that time period, they investigated 400 crashes with 124 injuries, eight being fatalities. They also made 103 DWI arrests and 100 drug arrests. During the same time frame last year, they responded to 544 traffic crashes with 150 injuries, which was down significantly this year. However, DWIs were lower last year with only 99 arrests made during that time.
