At least one neighboring county experienced damage to a major thoroughfare as a result of recent rains. A 10-mile section of I-44 in Laclede County is damaged and one lane is closed so crews can make repairs. Several sections of pavement became distressed between mile markers 135 and 145. MoDot says they’re already working on repairs and that motorists should be prepared for stopped or slow-moving traffic.
MoDot says work on a bridge replacement in Camden County has been temporarily stopped. Crews have been working on the bridge on the Route 54 outer road over Linn Creek for a couple of months. No work is scheduled for this week, though. MoDot says the project is on hold until warmer weather to allow for pouring concrete. The project is scheduled to be completed in July.
