I-44 Westbound Closed In Waynesville Due To Major Crash

If you’re travel plans take you the Waynesville area this morning, be aware that Interstate 44 is closed at exit 159.

The Highway Patrol is currently working to clear a multi-vehicle crash, including numerous tractor trailers, which are blocking all westbound lanes at this time.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) confirms at least one person was killed.

MoDot officials believe the highway could remain closed at least until 7AM this morning, if not later.

Drivers should plot an alternate route.
