Construction on a road resurfacing project on I-44 near Saint Robert/Waynesville is progressing faster than expected. The first stage of a project, overlaying 8″ of concrete in the westbound lanes, was finished a week ahead of schedule. The next phase of the project’s scheduled to start next Tuesday, and should be done in 20-days. It includes pavement rehab from mile marker 153 to 158, and includes the replacement of the westbound bridge deck and girders of the Gasconade River Bridge. During the work several entrance and exit ramps on I-44 in the Waynesville area will be closed at various times. Some traffic congestion’s expected since the work will cut traffic down to one lane in each direction.
