No injuries are being reported but a house in Iberia appears to be a total loss after a fire over the weekend. The Iberia Rural Fire Protection District responded to the scene in the 1400 block of Highway-A late Saturday afternoon and, upon arrival, discovered flames coming from both the front and back of the house. Mutual aid was provided at the scene by fire district personnel from Tuscumbia and Crocker while electrical service was cut off by Gascosage. The Miller County Sheriff’s Department and Ambulance District also both responded to the scene and the American Red Cross was notified to help out. The State Fire Marshal’s Office is, apparently, investigating the cause of the fire.
