An Iberia man wanted on several warrants from Miller and Pulaski counties now faces additional charges from the Highway Patrol. According to the trooper involved, on April 9thhe spotted a vehicle matching the description of one that had been involved in a pair of recent pursuits. When he ran the tags, they didn’t match the vehicle. After attempting to initiate a traffic stop, the driver, identified as Jody Ash, Jr. took evasive action and fled, leading to a brief pursuit. The trooper terminated the chase near Osage Middle School due to unsafe conditions. After receiving additional information from someone with knowledge of Ash’s activity, the trooper then learned that he had been taken into custody on outstanding warrants. Ash denied any knowledge of the incident when he was questioned. He’s charged with resisting arrest, careless & imprudent driving, and failure to register a vehicle.
