Iberia Man To Be Arraigned Wednesday For Numerous Theft Incidents

An Iberia man accused of shoplifting will be arraigned in court this Wednesday.

28-year-old Cody Umfleet was picked up in March in the Menards parking lot following a call to police.

Officers found numerous stolen car keys, drugs and a handgun inside the car Umfleet was driving, which was also reported stolen.

Officials believe he may be connected to a series of burglaries that happened across Camden and Miller Counties since the start of the year.
