It will be about two weeks before the man accused of stabbing and killing a 13-year old Iberia girl will be back in court. 30-year old Steven Henderson of Iberia will have a hearing on Monday, July 15th in Miller County Court. He is charged with first degree murder and armed criminal action in the death of Macala Shelton. Henderson is Shelton’s step-uncle. She was first reported missing on June 22nd before being found dead about six miles from her home near an abandoned farm. Henderson is being held at the Miller County Jail on a bond of 500 thousand dollars. Miller County Sheriff Bill Abbott says the murder investigation is ongoing at this time.
