A celebration of the arts held in Camdenton about a month ago is being deemed a success by organizers. According to Parks and Recreation Director Larry Bennett, an estimated 450 people attended the first annual Arts Fest on October 27th. That was after the event had been postponed by several weeks and moved to an indoor location due to weather. Arts Fest featured artists and vendors selling their products, art demonstrations, a food vendor, kids zone and more. Attendees came from all over. There were people there from around the lake area, Kansas City, St. Louis, and five other states, including Colorado and Florida. Bennett says they plan to continue the event next year and are aiming for a set date of the first Saturday after Labor Day.
