Investigation Into Laclede County Murder Remains Ongoing

The investigation into the murder of 58-year-old Mark Pitts of Laclede County continues.

Sheriff David Millsap says they’ve been able to determine a suspect based on recent interviews and they believe they have a definitive timeline regarding events prior the murder.

He says they are also waiting on a number of items that were sent to the state crime lab.

Pitts was found dead inside his home on July 2 by a relative and his Red 1999 Chevrolet Silverado Pickup remains missing.

It has rust over the rear wheels and a tool box in the bed, with Missouri plates OHD-A1O.
