IRS scam calls continue to be reported on a daily basis. The calls often charge that failure to call back and make good on a non-existing outstanding debt to the IRS will result in you being arrested by local authorities. Ray Buchli, with Riverview Technologies, says you can almost plan on the scam popping up every year right about this time.
The IRS reports, since 2013, over ten-thousand have fallen victim to the various scams paying out more than $54-million. If you receive such a call, you are encouraged not to offer any info.
