Are the geese to blame for the E. coli at the public swimming beaches in Lake of the Ozarks State Park? The Lake of the Ozarks Watershed Alliance will hold a pubic meeting dealing with that issue later this month. LOWA’s Donna Swall says they’ll hear from experts who have been studying the problem and will present their findings:
Last week, the state Department of Natural Resources announced plans for more testing to determine the source of the elevated E. coli levels, which kept Grand Glaize Beach closed for nearly half the summer last year. LOWA’s meeting will take place at Tan-Tar-A in Osage Beach June 18th.
