A developer has hit a speed bump with a proposed TIF for a lakefront hotel. D&N Land Company submitted their proposal to the Camden County Commission. When submitting a TIF application, the developer must also pay $15,000 for properties under 15 acres, and $20,000 for properties over 15 acres.. Also, if a public bond is included in the project, another $10,000 is added. The developer didn’t provide a legal description to how much land will be used and only submitted a check for $15,000. The county’s TIF lawyer is working with the developer to resolve this, among other issues.
