We now know how much it will cost to repair the damages that occurred at the city park in Osage Beach which when flooding caused the dam to break. According to city officials, the estimates have been completed by the city’s insurance agency and federal emergency management officials and the total cost to repair the damage to the park is around $700,000. There is federal aid that had been approved for Camden county and that coupled with the city’s insurance payment a total of $675,000 will be covered in the repair process leaving the city cover the remaining amount. The city is expecting to start working on the park right away and will begin to re-open the park in phases with a plan to completely reopen it by mid-spring in 2014.
