A Jefferson City woman faces several charges in Camden County, including DWI, after sending pedestrians scrambling for their lives over the weekend. Lieutenant Arlyne Page says it happened around 11:45 Friday night when 38-year-old Lindsay Rush was driving through a crowd of pedestrians in the area of Sweet William Road on Horseshoe Bend. Deputies responded and made contact with Rush who, allegedly, refused to stop and continued driving through pedestrian traffic. After the vehicle made minor contact with a deputy on foot, Rush stepped on the gas as she continued putting pedestrians at risk. She was eventually stopped and taken into custody. In addition to the DWI, Rush is also charged with felony assault-special victim and resisting arrest, and two misdemeanor charges of 4th-degree assault. Rush was booked into the Camden County Jail and was being held on no bond.
