For the most part, according to the Highway Patrol, it was a relatively quiet holiday period on Lake Area roadways. As of this morning, the patrol reported no traffic accidents for the holiday in Camden, Miller and Morgan counties. As for arrests, there were only three reported in the Lake Area. 37-year-old Jeffrey Farris faces charges of possessing methamphetamine and prescription pills, both felonies, along with a misdemeanor charge for possessing paraphernalia. Farris was taken to the Camden County Jail and placed on a 24-hour hold. Two other arrests reported by the highway patrol in the Lake Area included a teenager from Versailles for misdemeanor possession of marijuana and paraphernalia, and a man from Barnett on a misdemeanor failure to appear warrant out of Miller County.
