A judge has denied a request to reduce the bond of a man accused of rape. Mansour Beyah is currently being held on a $25,000 cash bond or $250,000 surety bond. In a hearing held this week, the prosecution objected to any reduction in the bond. After hearing a victim impact statement, the judge denied the request. Beyah is charged with first-degree rape following an incident that authorities say took place March 3rd. He’s scheduled to be in court for a preliminary hearing April 24th.
