Two of the three suspects formally charged in Miller County in connection to the killing of a Columbia man appeared in the courtroom Monday seeking bond reductions. Both William Lucas, of Kaiser, and Daniel Cole, of Montreal, have been in custody on $225,000 bonds since being arrested in early March. Both appeared in associate circuit court where their bonds were reduced…Cole down to $100,000 and Lucas down to $50,000. An added condition of being monitored by GPS remained in place. Both are charged with being accessories to first-degree murder and armed criminal action, along with conspiracy to abandon a corpse in the alleged killing of Aaron Brantley. There is a pending motion at this time, however, for the charges against Lucas to be dismissed. Another suspect in the murder, Christopher English of the Eldon area, is charged with first-degree murder and armed criminal action, and abandonment of a corpse. English has been free since posting a $400,000 bond. A preliminary hearing for English is on the docket for late June.
