New court documents recently obtain now show that an area Judge has put a pause to Camden County’s efforts to shut down a lake area establishment. Apparently Judge Ralph Jaynes has giving a continuance on a case filed earlier this year where the Camden County Commission was attempting to shut down the operations of Lazy Gators owned by Gary Prewitt. Originally a hearing had been scheduled for this past week but the Judge has now but that off until March of 2015. The issue stems from the property’s zoning, which is currently residential but the property has been built up using a caterer’s license. Prewitt has tried multiple times to get the property rezoned, which is adjacent to his already commercial restaurant and a commercial parking lot but has been unable to get that accomplished.
