A camdenton woman who is accused of slashing the throat of her 9 month old baby has seen a judge set aside her Alford plea. A psychiatrist’s testimony yesterday (Wednesday) in court convinced the judge to set aside the plea entered by Bradie Simpson. The doctor said she was suffering from a mental disease at the time of the alleged attack. Bradie Simpson was accused of attacking her 9 month old baby in Camden county back in February of 2012. The child survived and was later found along with Simpson in a wooded area behind their home. By trying to use an Alford plea, Simpson was admitting prosecutors have enough evidence to convict her, but she still maintains her innocence.
