A federal judge will have to decide whether or not to dispose of evidence brought against a man. According to reports, Dr. Shelby Coleman was charged with using a minor to produce child pornography after allegedly exchanging pornographic photos and videos with a Laclede County teenager. Coleman had planned to meet the minor at a Springfield area hotel, but was met by the FBI and police instead. Coleman’s attorney is arguing that any evidence discovered that morning should be thrown out because police had no legal right to force their way into Coleman’s hotel room and conduct the search. The Government responded by announcing that they had a search warrant and only entered into the hotel room after Coleman attempted to flee.
