Jurors from Johnson County Mo will be bused in when Gregory L. George stands trial in October for the murder of his roommate, Adrianna Hyten. The hope is that public opinion isn’t swayed before the accused stands trial. George will be tried in Camden County and is charged first-degree murder and armed criminal action. A pretrial hearing was held yesterday where Judge Kenneth Hayden upheld several motions asked by George’s attorney for the fairest trial for her client. Public Defender Heather Vodnansky had filed a motion to preserve all notes on the investigation and another to preserve all of the gathered physical evidence. A third motion, to enter Missouri Supreme Court rules 4-3.6 and 4-3.8 was also upheld. The two rules govern what a prosecuting attorney can say to the public regarding a case before and during a trial.
