A Kaiser waste management and recycling company will pay a $118,000 civil penalty for violating EPA rules and regulations. Waste Management Lamptracker was inspected by the EPA back in August of 2010. The EPA’s Chris Whitley says the facility had several violations including an unpermitted off site materials staging area, unsealed waste containers, crushed glass samples that were not tested for mercury, and inadequate waste container management.
By agreeing to the settlement the facility on Kaiser Industrial Drive is now certified to be in compliance.
