A Lake Area man is facing charges relating to a fatal crash in May of 2014. 25 year old Benjamin Kasper of Gravois Mills has been charged with involuntary manslaughter and second degree assault. According to a probable cause statement, Kasper’s blood sample contained methamphetamine and police also found Meth in his vehicle. Police say Kasper was driving on highway “MM” just east of chimney point road in Camden County when he crossed the center line and hit a vehicle head-on driven by 55 year old Patrick Rayburn. Rayburn’s car then flipped and caught fire. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
