For today: High of 13 under partly cloudy skies. Winds becoming west around 5 mph.


For tonight: Lows dip down to about 8 under overcast skies with snow likely late. East winds around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 85%.

Avoid outside activities if possible. When outside, make sure you wear appropriate clothing, a hat, and gloves. Slow down and use caution while traveling. In Kansas, road conditions can be obtained by calling 5 1 1.
WHAT
For the Wind Chill Warning, dangerously cold wind chills. Wind chills as low as 25 below zero. For the Winter Weather Advisory, snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 3 to 5 inches.
WHERE
Portions of southeast Kansas and central, east central, south central, southwest and west central Missouri.
WHEN
For the Wind Chill Warning, until 9 AM CST this morning. For the Winter Weather Advisory, from 9 PM this evening to 6 PM CST Wednesday.
IMPACTS
Plan on slippery road conditions this morning as some roads remain snow covered. Road conditions will again deteriorate tonight and especially be hazardous for the Wednesday morning commute. The cold wind chills could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes.
