A complaint against a local organization has been dismissed by the Missouri Ethics Commission. The complaint alleged that the Lake Area Conservative Club contributed in excess of $500 to a local campaign without it being properly registered as mandated by State law. The commission found no grounds to support the allegation. It was determined the organization did make the contribution to the campaign of Greg Hasty who was running for Camden County presiding commissioner in august but there was no wrong doing on the part of the lake area conservative club. The organization says it checked with the commission before the donation was made to make sure it was handled appropriately.
