UPDATE: KRMS has learned that, upon seeing stories about him online, Mr. Dilks has contacted a friend to say he is safe and is taking some personal time away. Dilks apparently told his friend he did not want anyone to worry about him.
The Osage Beach Department of Public Safety is turning to the public for possible information into the whereabouts of a missing person. Osage Beach Police confirm that 57-year-old David Dilks was, reportedly, last seen in the Camdenton area on Friday and was, officially, listed as a missing on Sunday. Dilks is described as bald and wearing glasses, 5’9”, about 175 pounds with blues eyes and hoop earrings in both ears. At the time he was last seen, Dilks was driving a 2005 burnt orange Honda Element with Lake Shots Photography and Salt Life stickers on the back window. Police say they are checking out a few leads with no other information to release at this time.
