Lake Area Contractor Charged With Fraud In St. Louis County

A contractor with ties to the lake area is charged with consumer fraud in St. Louis County after failing to follow through on a remodeling project.

Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt’s office says Brandon Rusin, who operated under the name Custom Homes and Remodeling, collected over $4-thousand from a homeowner before doing minimal work and then disappearing altogether.

Rusin then moved to Rocky Mount and operated under the name of Spencer Construction which is under investigation for similar allegations in, and around, Morgan County.

The AG’s office encourages anyone who may have had similar experiences with Rusin, or any other contractor, to file a complaint.
