While in the Florida Keys, a couple teams from the Lake represented the area well in the world of boat racing over the weekend. Performance Boat Center ran away with the unofficial world title in the Superboat class at the 2016 Super Boat International with an average speed of 96 miles per hour. Also representing the Lake over this weekend was the Wake Effects team. The team won the Superboat Unlimited, as well as the unofficial world title, with an average speed of 108 miles per hour.
