Lake Area Farmers are breathing a sigh of relief after recent rains that are helping to restore their pastures.
In some cases, farmers have had to use their winter hay reserves because the cows have been running out of green grass to eat.
Farmer Greg Brown tells KY 3 TV ranchers often use what’s known as a rotational grazing and it’s been a challenge to operate without the rain.
Some of the farms further south of the lake got additional rain from tropical depression Laura, as it curved through Arkansas on its way towards the east.
