The Lake of the Ozarks will be “hog heaven” this weekend. The sixth annual Lake of the Ozarks Bike Fest runs from tomorrow thru Sunday. Lake of the Ozarks Convention and Visitor Bureau executive director Tim Jacobsen says it just gets bigger every year:
10,000 motorcycle enthusiasts are expected at the Lake this weeekend. The center lane of Bagnell Dam Boulevard on the Strip will be closed all weekend, for free motorcycle parking. And the festival has increased the number of vendor villages from three to five this year:
Lake Ozark Police Chief Mark Maples says he has safety concerns about this weekend’s Bike Fest. He told last night’s Board of Aldermen meeting he’s asked for help from the Highway Patrol and Camden County Sheriff’s Department.
Lake of “This event just continues to grow every year,” said Tim Jacobsen, Lake of the Ozarks Convention and Visitor Bureau executive director.
These vendor villages are located at Dog Days Bar & Grill, Lake of the Ozarks Harley Davidson, The Dam Bait Shop and Campground, Camden on the Lake and in the lower parking lot at the Bagnell Dam Strip. Each village showcases its own unique forms of live entertainment, food, beverages, custom bike displays and biker-themed merchandise.

The sixth annual Lake of the Ozarks Bikefest rumbles is the place to be for “hog” fans Sept. 13-16 during Lake of the Ozarks Bikefest, a four-day festival celebrating bikers, motorcycles and the scenic lake area.
Each year, the festival plays host to more than 10,000 bikers with a weekend of food, entertainment and some of the most scenic rides in Missouri. The festival, one of the lake’s newer events, also is one of its most popular events.
“This event just continues to grow every year,” said Tim Jacobsen, Lake of the Ozarks Convention and Visitor Bureau executive director. “With our numerous scenic rides and over 100 bars and restaurants, our area was just tailor-made for bikers and motorcycle enthusiasts.
