The lake has been checked and for all residents and vacationers there is no cause for concern. At least that’s what the testing coordinator Tony Thorpe says. He has been testing the lake for different bacteria and e coli for the past 20 weeks and has found the lake to contain no toxic or unhealthy levels of the e coli germ. There was a much higher concentration of E. coli bacteria in coves with onsite septic systems. Nonetheless Thorpe stated that the E. coli bacteria levels in all the coves tested were below the maximum of the health department considers safe.
