A Lake Area native is having to wait yet again, before launching off to the International space Station.
High winds and issues from Tropical Storm ETA have postponed the launch window of the Falcon 9 rocket to Sunday, but Commander Michael Hopkins says he’s ready.
Hopkins graduated from School of the Osage and grew up in nearby Richland.
He’s joined by Victor Glover and Shannon Walker of NASA, as well as Soichi Noguchi of the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency.
The joint mission between NASA and SpaceX launches from the Kennedy Space Center at 7:27 PM Eastern Time this Sunday.
