The Lake Ozark Board of Aldermen is considering charging a fee for utility customers who want their water main turned off at the nearest valve or extra meter reads. The 25 dollar fee can be waived, if homeowners install a shut off valve inside their homes. A second reading of the measure failed to pass, at the last meeting. They will take up concerns about the fees at the next meeting. Meantime, the city does plan to pursue payment from residents who are severely past due on their utility bills.
