The City of Lake Ozark is applying for a grant that will affect the strip. The Board of Aldermen approved a resolution to apply for the grant with the Miller County Health Center to change out the bulbs on the strip to LED bulbs. City Administrator Dave Van Dee says there are a couple of positives to the idea.
Van Dee also says the grant would upgrade the roadside parks. They will be applying to get two handicap access park benches and placing concrete pads. If approved, the grant will provide the city with just over $18,000, leaving them to pay around $10,000.
