The Lake Ozark Board of alderman are extending an ordinance giving Mayor Gerry Murawski specific powers while the COVID-19 pandemic continues.
Mayor Gerry Murawski tells KRMS News the powers granted back in March are the same moving forward.
Murawski says the ordinance allows him to pay bills, authorize video attendance for board members concerned or in quarantine due to COVID and to make other decisions to assure the continuity of city business.
The Board of alderman is also endorsing the creation of a Transportation Development District.
Lake Ozark resident Rick Hasty will head the TDD.
He tells KRMS News money generated will help pay for improvements to Bagnell Dam Boulevard and other parts of the city.
Hasty gave a presentation on the TDD at the meeting on Tuesday prior to the board passing the resolution of support.
