Lake Ozark Christmas Parade Winners Announced

They’re announcing the winning floats from last week’s parade on The Strip.

This year’s Christmas parade in Lake Ozark was called, ‘We Need A Little Christmas,’ and it featured numerous floats.

The 1st place float was entered by Dam Good slice.

Second place went to Lake of the Ozarks Jeep Club.

The third place winner was American Legion Post 229.

Mike Page with the Bagnell Dam Strip Association gave out the prize money.

It was the 36th edition of the annual Christmas parade in Lake Ozark, which included appearances by Santa Claus, the Grinch and lots of candy handed out to kids who showed up.

“We Need A Little Christmas”

Precipitation teased briefly as the Lake of the Ozarks Christmas parade marched to its 36th edition finish on Saturday afternoon December 12th on the Bagnell Dam Strip.

“We Need A Little Christmas” was a scaled-down version of the annual parade.

The Marine Corps League Honor Guard led, followed by one of the first Lake Ozark fire trucks, a 1979 model driven by Chief Mark Amsinger, with banners to “Honor 2020’s Essential Workers” as the Grand Marshal(s). The Grand Marshal distinction had intention for each and every person performing work this year essential to community well-being.

Abundant holiday spirit was displayed in entries and from the sidelines.

The winning parade entries are:

1st Place -Dam Good Slice

2nd Place -Lake of the Ozarks Jeep Club

3rd Place -American Legion Post 229
