Anyone wanting to run for public office in Lake Ozark may have to go through another couple steps to do so. During the Board of Aldermen Meeting Tuesday night, they held a vote requiring anyone who wants to run for office to first provide a driver’s license to prove they live within the ward they are running in. City Administrator Dave Van Dee says using a Driver’s License makes the most sense for a couple different reasons.
The ordinance received its first vote and unanimous approval. It will be brought for a second vote at the next Board of Aldermen Meeting.
