An amendment to the personnel policy in the City of Lake Ozark comes under attack during Tuesday night’s board of aldermen meeting. At issue, according to Administrator Dave VanDee, is a proposed change which would potentially remove a pay raise that a current employee could receive for a promotion or change in his or her position.
The issue was brought to light following four recent promotions within the city…none of which reportedly were affected. The main differences, as written into the proposed amendment, would be a change of an employee’s anniversary date and a subsequent new schedule of compensation increases. After considerable discussion, the board voted to table the measure indefinitely until a workshop can be held on the issue. A date has not yet been announced for that workshop.
